In the Mathematics curriculum, our teachers use the thinking method of concretization to help students to understand mathematics concepts. We use activities to encourage students to draw upon their previous experiences when attempting to understand new concepts. The teaching process helps students to make connection from concrete object to abstract thinking.

 

 

Through well-designed cooperative learning activities in class and extended activities like the weekly Math Corner, the annual Speed Calculation Competition and Mathematics Carnival, students are constantly engaged in higher-order thinking and can enjoy numerous opportunities in honing their presentation skills.

 

With various forms of assessments and activities, we identify talented and gifted students and allow them to unleash their full potential in the Potential Realisation Programme.
