In order to develop students' language competency, we use Putonghua as the medium of instruction for Chinese Language. In combination with Putonghua Pinyin teaching, students can express themselves and master the written language easily. At the same time, they can feel the beauty of the language and have interest in learning it. Moreover, the school uses picture books in teaching, which can develop students' higher-order thinking skills and the quality of thinking. The cultivation of aesthetics, morality and culture appreciation promotes students’ whole-person development.

In addition, the school encourages students to join the Schools Speech Festival and holds activities such as Acting Corner, Poetry Café, Writers’ Conference, Seniors’ Debate and Book Sharing to enrich students' Chinese learning experiences.
