The Primary Humanities curriculum integrates knowledge, skills, and values and attitudes from different learning areas of the Personal, Social and Humanities Education. To extend learning beyond classroom, we provide diverse opportunities for students to conduct life-wide learning and inquiry-based learning to enrich their hands-on learning experience. Through the practice of “analysis of current affairs and life scenarios” from Primary One to Primary Six, we aim at raising students’ awareness of current affairs and preparing them for Liberal Studies in secondary education. Students can thus have a deeper understanding of themselves, the society and the world.
We also provide students with different extended learning programmes and visits, such as Inter-House General Knowledge Quiz, “Stepping into Modern History”, current affairs forum, visits to Fire Station and Ping Shan Heritage Trail, etc.
