Life filled with Appreciation 

 

While Thanksgiving is limited to a day for many, it is a way of life for me. Gratitude is a powerful force that transformed my life in a major way. That’s why we have to learn how to appreciate. Appreciate what we have today. Appreciate that we can have a chance to work, study and meet at this school and have so many good friends around here! 

 

Children, I have to say that all the good deeds you have done on others should be highly praised and appreciated. Why? Because you are all very kind and full of love. You have been caring for others and given your neighbours, friends and people much warmth, hope and happiness every day! Your performance seems to have told us that you have activated yourselves to be the beacons of light. You are carrying the necessary wisdom, faith and love, and always shine on others. 

 

The message brought forward behind each act you do and each contact we go through is so wonderful, meaningful and encouraging. The smile and the body languages you show when we meet makes us feel happy and thankful all the time. As the Principal, I should thank you most sincerely because you are kind and you have brought hope to your teachers and your buddies! Please send my best regards to your parents because they have done a very good job in nurturing you to be a well-behaved, polite, energetic and shining individual, who is definitely a potential good citizen and a future leader in the society one day. 

 

I remember that when

I present you a prize, you give me a deep bow;

I look into your eyes, you reply with a big smile;

I say “Hi” and wave my hand in the morning, you say “Good morning” loudly to me;

I raise my hand towards you, you give me a “high five”;

I walk along the corridors and hallways, you immediately show me your happy faces, shouting my name and jumping out from your seats;

I walk into your classroom, you always politely welcome me;

I see you off after school, you always come to greet me wholeheartedly;

I ask you to write something to me, you always write me a lot of constructive ideas and praises to the school…
