School Mission in a New Era

 

W F Joseph Lee Primary School, one of the DSS schools, is comparatively young in Tin Shui Wai. We envision that our mission is to prepare our young generations to be both morally and academically excellent, nurturing them into future leaders and quality citizens who are socially responsible and equipped with a sense of national identity, a love for Hong Kong and an international perspective. 

 

To realise our vision and mission as mentioned above, we should create a stable, caring, inspiring and satisfying teaching and learning environment. Since our school was founded after the millennium, the campus was beautifully designed, purposefully built and the facilities were all very well equipped to cater for our students’ needs. The school campus, in general, is much welcoming, calm, peaceful, clean and tidy. In particular, with the installation of the new annex where a standard swimming pool and a spatial multi-purpose room, plus a rooftop basketball court are completed, it provides more flexibilities and opportunities for students to tap their talents and excel in multiple areas.  

 

In recent years, our Supervisor, Dr. Joseph Lee, has initiated the conception of “Character Building” with an aim to promote the core values of “Care, Commitment, Integrity, Perseverance, Respect and Responsibility” among our students. In such, when students leave our school after intervention, are expected to be exemplar individuals who can rectify oneself before they can serve and benefit the others, spreading the seeds of “Kindness” and ”Hope” to the neighbourhood, from the living areas to the environment, the community and the world with “Wisdom”, “Faith” and “Love”. 

 

We want to see young people who cherish and enjoy learning perform to the best of their abilities in whatever they do. We want our students to undergo a comprehensive and cohesive system of primary education and develop into confident, innovative, resourceful persons who are brave in facing their responsibility in society, and enjoy a meaningful, lively and fruitful life journey.
